joy, a beautiful woman in this photo! i wrote this piece called tattooed memories in memory of my aunt who suffered from Alzheimer's. memories and faces fading like dimming stars in morns first light. no recognition not even a voice, do you know who i am don't you know? you raised me up so long ago, the tears in my eyes are the pain in your soul i hope you know i'm by your side. can you see me with your sky blue eyes or squeeze my hand, can you feel my hug or a kiss on your cheek. I will always be with you where ever you are you will always be loved be sure of that. and when your gone from me a tattooed memory is all i have left of you, never to fade never to be erased. god bless!

Joy Tudor replied:

Bruce, what a beautiful tribute to your Aunt ? So perfectly written. Thank you for taking time to include me in something dear to you. I loved it.

Thank you, Joy, for the nice comment on my Baby Elephant. I was touched by your story about how your mom loved elephants & how she would've been 83 on March 1st. Seeing your mom here, it must have been quite difficult watching this passage of time. Bless your heart. Hope you continue to create beautiful art, like the many wonderful examples in your portfolio. All the best to you & yours.

Artist's Description

This is a photograph of my Momma while living with Alzheimers. When I took this photograph, she could not communicate with words anymore. Laying the US flag across her made her smile, she had been a very patriotic woman. I know she would have wanted EVERYONE to get involved to find a cure for alzheimers. My title is to make you think about whether or not YOU will be able to remember one day. In Memory of Raedell 3/1929 - 02/2008.

About Joy Tudor

Joy Tudor

Welcome to my art site! Be advised the water mark (Fine Art America) at the bottom right corner on my photos WILLNOT be on your purchased item. I've always enjoyed making photographs of outdoor scenery, animals, flowers and portraits of family and friends since I was sixteen, but never knew it was my passion. At 47, I enjoyed a semester at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas I took Photography I class along with the young'uns, while they were studying Photo/Journalism. The Photography I class was photographing/developing film in black & white. I found how exciting the dark room was, developing my own photos and seeing them come to life on paper is pure joy. I would stay in the dark room working so long, my teacher...
